Expat praises Cyprus lifestyle
Cyprus is a good location for Britons looking to move to another country, an expatriate has said.
Charlie Burrell, from Penicuik in Scotland, relocated to Cyprus with his wife almost 10 years ago in order to enjoy the benefits of living abroad.
Speaking to the Sunday Mail, he highlighted many of the benefits of residing on the Mediterranean island, such as the climate and the cheaper cost of living.
"To us, Cyprus had everything we were looking for," he commented, adding that the country offered lots of attractions to keep him and his wife busy.
Mr Burrell went on to compare the island with Britain, due to the similarities in the legal system and the large number of English speakers.
He added that he found it "really easy" to assimilate into the Cypriot lifestyle and now had a better social life than he had in Scotland.
Cyprus is due to join the single European currency in January 2008, a move which could potentially boost its appeal to foreign property buyers.
