Employment figures 'will provide encouragement' to UK investors
Those considering an investment in the UK could be set to see economic prospects improve, it has been observed.
Commenting on the latest employment figures from the Office for National Statistics, senior analyst at Caxton FX Duncan Higgins explained that the UK is in a better position than many other countries.
The jobless rate remained steady at 7.8% - despite forecasts that it would go up to 8% - and Mr Higgins suggested that it may have peaked.
"Investors will be encouraged that the UK economic recovery is perhaps not as unstable as some had suggested," he remarked, adding that a comparison with the eurozone and the US - where figures have reached 9.8% and 10% respectively - "should ease concerns over the strength of Britain's economic recovery".
Earlier this week, Mr Higgins suggested that the strengthening pound could benefit Britons considering an overseas property investment, as money will go further.
