Eastern Europe recommended to investors
Overseas property investors have been encouraged to consider potential opportunities in eastern Europe.
According to Knight Frank, the region is a relatively safe haven for investors who want to avoid the worst of the global credit crunch.
Nick Barnes, a researcher at the organisation, highlighted Montenegro as one such location, as it offers a number of strong fundamentals.
Speaking to the Telegraph, he described it as an "up-and-coming" market with a "long-term future and improving infrastructure".
Mr Barnes added that Montenegro is likely to see significant growth over the next few years, as well as escape the worst effects of the worldwide financial crisis.
The comments come after the international connectivity of the country was enhanced by Montenegro Airlines.
Direct flights between Tivat and London's Gatwick Airport were introduced by the carrier earlier this year.
As a result, Montenegro is now far more easily accessible to tourists and overseas property investors.
