Dubai's tourism expansion praised

A tourism official in Dubai has hailed recent efforts to boost the emirate's leisure industry.

Various new developments such as theme parks are currently being rolled out across the region as part of a plan to attract more holidaymakers.

Indeed, it is hoped that annual visitor numbers will reach 15 million within the next 8 years.

If officials are successful in achieving this goal, this will result in a significant increase in rental demand across Dubai.

Commenting on the area's appeal, Ian Scott of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing said visitors can expect the best upon their arrival.

He remarked: "The emirate continues to expand its globally acclaimed leisure and business facilities of superlative quality."

Mr Scott added that many of the projects which are currently taking place are "ground-breaking".

The comments come shortly after the Daily Express described Dubai as a place which offers people the chance to enjoy luxurious surroundings without spending lots of money.
