Demand for Turkish holidays expected to grow
Those making a buy-to-let property investment in Turkey may find that they benefit from increased interest from tourists next year.
According to Travel Daily News, holidaylettings.co.uk has seen interest in the country from holidaymakers grow significantly.
Two-thirds of enquiries received in September were for dates in 2010, which could give an early indication that homes in Turkey will be in high demand.
It comes after a 70% growth in breaks taken in the country by Brits this year compared to 2008, as self-catering holidays in Turkey became more popular.
Managing director of the rental site Ross Elder was quoted as saying that many people have chosen to stay close to home in 2009, "but the popularity of the UK has not been to the detriment of other destinations".
Research company RNCOS recently predicted that Turkey will benefit from an increase in foreign visitors, with many already being attracted by factors such as its 10 golf courses.
