Cyprus 'is a property hotspot'
Cyprus is fast becoming a hotspot of activity among overseas property buyers, a media outlet has reported.
The Sunday Mail stated that the Mediterranean island was now one of the most popular locations among holiday home owners and rental investors from the UK.
A number of reasons for its appeal were highlighted by the publication, including its good beaches, historical attractions and its status as a leading holiday destination.
The newspaper added that visitors to Cyprus are also highly likely to enjoy good weather, as it enjoys an average of 340 days sunshine every year.
This means that the island has strong rental potential, as the tourist season is not limited to a short space of time.
Cyprus was recently recommended to foreign property buyers by UK-based newspaper the Mirror, which said house prices in some areas have gone up by about 80% in the last five years.
