Croatia opened up to West Country investors
Overseas property investors from the West Country could be set to benefit from the introduction of new flights.
Low-cost airline easyJet has confirmed that it will launch new services from Bristol International Airport in April 2008.
One of the new routes will be to the Croatian city of Split, therefore opening up the market to people in the south-west of England.
This could significantly enhance the popularity of the country as a holiday destination, resulting in a surge in demand for rental accommodation
Alternatively, the increased accessibility could make it a more viable location for prospective investors to consider.
The country is currently aiming to become a full member of the European Union.
According to a recent report by the international organisation, Croatia is making "substantial progress" with its negotiations, which means that it could join within the next 5 years.
