Changes in the Bulgarian government are set to be approved when a three-way coalition meets today (July 13th).
A decision will have to be made regarding the positions of justice and interior ministers, by prime minister Sergey Stanishev, former monarch Simeon Saxe-Coburg and Ahmed Dogan, the ethnic Turkish leader, reports novinite.com.
Moreover, Mr Stanishev's plans to start a national security agency are also set to be met with approval, something that could lead to a strengthening of the country's law enforcement capability, the publication stated.
There have been recent delays to the changes because of a corruption scandal that involved 2 deputy ministers which has since been settled, it added.
In related news, Bulgaria recently stated that it will support Croatia in its bid to become a member of the European Union.
President Georgi Purvanov said that he agreed with the Croatian perspective and that Bulgaria would offer the other country a good deal of assistance.
