Chinese investors 'looking at Dubai'

A growing number of wealthy Chinese businessmen are keen to invest in Dubai's burgeoning property market, it has been claimed.

The value of real estate in United Arab Emirates has grown rapidly over the past few years, with rents climbing to such an extent that teachers in part of the federation recently received a AED 6,000 (£836) per month pay rise to help them meet the cost.

Both individual and institutional investors have been attracted to the property markets in the major cities in United Arab Emirates by this opportunity to profit and it now appears that China's super rich are following suit.

Graham Wood, the organiser of the Cityscape China property exhibition in Shanghai, told GoWealthy.com that more than $300 million (£153 million) of Chinese money has already been invested in United Arab Emirates.

"Investment is increasingly flowing from China to the Middle East," he said.

A number of Dubai-based property businesses will send delegations to the exhibition, which takes place at Shanghai's New International Expo Centre between June 25th and 27th, in order to discuss possible investment opportunities.
