Cambridgeshire becomes migration hotspot
More and more people in Cambridgeshire are choosing to relocate to another country, it has been revealed.
According to The Emigration Group, 1 in every 50 enquiries it has received from prospective clients have come from the East Anglian county.
This, it stated, makes it one of the top ten hotspots of migration in the UK, reports the Cambridge News.
Commenting on the findings, director Paul Arthur said this trend has come about partly as a result of problems in the British housing market.
He observed: "House prices have peaked and people with more equity realise they can get a different lifestyle abroad."
Mr Arthur added that many young people are choosing to emigrate in order to get on the housing ladder.
According to a study by NatWest, most British expatriates consider themselves wealthier, healthier and happier now that they live abroad.
