Budget airline adds new services
A low-cost airline has added a new range of services to its timetables after its purchase of a smaller carrier.
Passengers will now be able to book passage to a wider range of destinations across Europe through easyJet as a result of its takeover of GB Airways.
This means the airline will take over the routes previously operated by GB, including flights from London Gatwick to Alicante, Faro and Paphos in Cyprus.
Leisure travellers will also be able to book flights to a number of non-European destinations such as the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.
In addition, easyJet will also handle services from Manchester to Crete, Cyprus, Malaga and Tenerife.
GB Airways services are expected to continue until the end of March, after which they are expected to operate under the easyJet brand.
Meanwhile, the budget carrier has announced that it is offering cheap deals to places such as Malaga and Marrakesh in order to commemorate the new year.
