Britons want to work overseas

A growing number of people in the UK are looking into the possibility of living and working overseas.

Research by Cater Allen Private Bank found that 1 in 5 British nationals have already been employed abroad at some point in their lives.

The study also revealed that a similar number are thinking of following suit and furthering their careers in another country.

Britain's faltering economy was flagged up as one factor behind the findings.

Sally Watts, marketing manager at Cater Allen, commented: "In the current market, more and more Britons are realising there are opportunities available to them overseas."

She stated that many people may find the next 12 months an ideal time in which to "escape" and "try something new" in another country.

This comes after a separate study by Cater Allen found that more than 3 million British nationals are likely to buy an overseas property in the next 2 years.
