Britons 'want to escape economic troubles'
Ongoing economic problems in the UK are prompting more people to consider retiring overseas, it has been revealed.
According to ShelterOffshore.com, a growing number of Britons are thinking of relocating in order to escape the financial problems at home.
The online portal added that the UK's relatively poor weather has also fuelled this trend, as the country's climate is as "bad as it ever was".
By contrast, places such as Italy were said to offer "fabulous" conditions, along with affordable living costs and stunning scenery.
ShelterOffshore.com remarked: "The grass has never seemed greener than right now."
Prospective expats were advised by the website to make sure they carry out thorough research into their chosen market before committing to a move.
This comes after Liam Clifford of Global Visas told the Telegraph that some Britons are particularly aggrieved with the amount they are paying out in tax.
As a result, many are choosing to escape the high bills and rising living costs by setting up home overseas.
