British expats reveal reasons for moving abroad
A couple from the UK has outlined their reasons for packing their bags and moving abroad.
Jamie and Nicola Parker, from Altrincham in Cheshire, recently decided to purchase a property in Spain and live there permanently.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, they said this was partly because they were unhappy with the level of crime and anti-social behaviour in the UK.
Furthermore, they stated that they wanted to escape Britain's gloomy weather and live in a location with a warmer climate.
Mrs Parker said the move has gone so well that she has no intention of leaving Spain and returning to the UK.
She commented: "The whole ethos of life is completely different here and it is just superb being able to drive along the coast each morning in this beautiful place."
According to a poll by UKForex, 80% of people who have left Britain are happy living overseas, whereas only 51.8% had been content at home.
