British expats head to Brazil
More and more British nationals are choosing to pack their bags and relocate to foreign shores, experts have stated.
According to foreign exchange group Caxton FX, factors such as the affordability of property in other countries have made living abroad an increasingly popular lifestyle choice.
James Hickman, spokesperson for the organisation, said much of the interest has recently been focussed on non-European countries, in particular long-haul destinations such as Brazil.
Speaking to the Telegraph, he attributed this to the fact that the South American country has relaxed its laws governing property purchases in recent years.
Mr Hickman added: "Over the past year alone, we've seen a 23% uplift in people using our services to start a new life abroad."
This comes after insurance firm AXA predicted that the number of British nationals who move abroad each year will go up in the near future.
