Bentley Motors announces expansion into Istanbul
Istanbul's burgeoning reputation as a top investment destination could be boosted by the news that Bentley Motors is to open up a dealership in the city, to be located on the banks of the Bosphorus.
The British-based luxury sports car manufacturer claimed that the new dealership will herald its entry into the Turkish market, which it sees as one with a strong potential for growth.
The facility will be run by Dogus Otomotiv, a car importer that has made a "substantial investment" in opening the showroom, which will feature a full aftersales service.
Among the models soon to hit the Turkish roads are the four-door Arnage saloon, the Azure convertible and the Brooklands coupe.
Stuart McCullough, Bentley's board member for sales and marketing, commented: "We are very proud to have found such a strong and professional partner as Dogus Otomotiv. They have operated very successfully in Turkey for many years and will bring great credit to Bentley."
Fellow British car manufacturer Rolls-Royce does not yet have a presence in Turkey, although a dealer is located in nearby Cyprus.
