Beckham move to boost interest in Italy property
Members of the Italian property industry are anticipating a surge in interest following confirmation of David Beckham's loan move to AC Milan.
With the English football star and his wife preparing to set up home in the Italian city before his temporary contract begins in January, investors could be poised to take advantage of the sudden boost in Milan's profile.
The Move Channel claims that "whenever Posh and Becks make a move, it shines a spotlight onto the place in question".
Meanwhile, reports that a documentary about the couple's move to Milan is already in the pipeline could increase the intensity of that spotlight.
Last week, several newspapers claimed that Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi had offered Victoria Beckham £10 million to make a film about relocating to Italy.
The documentary would show the couple arriving in Milan, embarking on shopping trips and house-hunting in the city.
