Bargain properties available overseas, says expert
People who are considering buying a property abroad have been told that numerous bargains are available at the moment.
Amanda Lamb, presenter of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, said the fact that prices are dropping in many countries makes them a good investment.
This, she stated, is because the markets are likely to pick up again, which means that anyone who is prepared to "ride out this storm" should benefit.
"Now is a fantastic time to buy because there are such great bargains to be had," Ms Lamb commented.
"Everywhere is a good investment at the moment because the prices are just dropping."
However, she added that a lot more people are buying for lifestyle purposes, including many who wish to live abroad on a permanent basis.
This comes after more than 7,500 people attended the A Place in the Sun Live exhibition in Birmingham last month.
