Bakery firm announces good results

The bakery chain Farinson in Romania has announced that it has seen turnover of 7 million euros (£4.6 million) in the first half of the year, according to reports.

Such a figure was up 70% against the corresponding time period last year, reports zf.ro.

General manager at the company Ioan Vladu said that a number of factors had impacted upon the growth the company has seen over the last few months.

"This progression was primarily prompted by a rise in the price of raw materials, as well as by the constant diversification of our product range. We are hoping to maintain the same turnover growth rate until the end of the year," he told the paper.

It is expected that the country will expand further this year, it said, including with the launch if a new biscuit flower.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the government is set to allocate new money for the development of an industrial park in Jucu.
