Baby boomers 'retiring in the sun'
The baby boomer generation are keen to fly from England and retire in sunnier climes, new research has found.
According to data supplied by savings firm Bradford & Bingley, just under half of over-55s wish they had travelled more, with 18 per cent regretting not living or working abroad.
However, this lost desire is translating into positive action for these Britons, with 57 per cent of Britons who own a property abroad falling into the demographic.
Paul Whitlock, head of savings at Bradford & Bingley, advised people to make the bold decisions and not run the risk of leaving regrets behind when it comes to property overseas.
"Putting money aside and making it work for them means they are one step closer to realising their dreams, whether this be travel to exciting destinations or making a more permanent move abroad," he commented.
Recent research my Moneycorp confirmed that Britons looking to retire overseas still target Spain as one of their most desirable locations.
