Albania recommended to property buyers
Albania has been highlighted as a potential investment hotspot for the coming year by a national newspaper.
The Daily Mail said the eastern European country was currently experiencing growth in its tourist market since upgrades were made to Tirana airport.
Prospective investors were also told that a funding package from the European Union was being used to upgrade Albania's infrastructure in order to further enhance its appeal to foreign visitors.
The newspaper commented: "With similarities to both Bulgaria and Montenegro before their respective booms, Albania seems to be developing into a mass-market, rather than upmarket, tourist destination."
In addition, it stated that the country also offered miles of unspoilt coastal areas and political stability.
This follows a profile on journalist Christopher Watts on BalkanInsight.com after his purchase of an Albanian property.
Speaking to the news provider, he said the country offered cheap property prices and the potential for capital growth.
