Airport contracts 'signed'
Contracts have been signed to build a new airport in Corvera, according to reports.
It is hoped that construction will begin by 2008 for the international airport that is expected to serve Murcia, reports Homes Worldwide.
The new contract has been won by Aeromur SA, a firm comprised of construction companies and Spanish banks, the publication stated.
Furthermore, it is believed that the airport will triple the number of yearly visitors to the area, news that may be of interest to potential property investors to the area.
Moreover, the economic growth of the area is also set to receive a welcome boost from the development.
A number of other residential areas and recreational amenities such as golf courses are also currently under construction, Homes Worldwide said.
Last week, it was reported that Spain is still a popular choice for British holidaymakers, according to research carried out by the Foreign Office.
