Airline routes 'help investors find new markets'

Overseas property investors have been advised to look at airline routes to identify potential new destinations.

The Telegraph stated that routes launched by low-cost carriers often pointed the way towards new and emerging markets.

By making access to previously untapped countries easy and affordable, airlines could trigger a surge in tourism, thereby boosting demand for rental accommodation in these territories.

The growth of the aviation sector has been widely credited with helping to boost the investment potential of a wide range of markets, such as various eastern European nations.

Morocco was singled out by the newspaper as one potentially good investment spot, especially since infrastructure improvements were underway across the country.

In particular, the Telegraph highlighted the construction of a new highway between Tangiers and Tetouan, further boosting investment possibilities in the region.

According to Morocco's tourism department, the number of tourists visiting between January and July 2007 was 10% higher than during the previous year.
