Airline highlights the attractions of the 'charming region' of Tuscany
A "wealth of activities for all visitors" lies on offer in the Valdarno area of Tuscany, according to new claims from a budget airline.
Jet2.com states that the five towns that compose the "charming region" of Valdarno represent the very best that Italy has to offer, whether it is for summer festivals or local industry.
The company, which runs services to Rome and Pisa, suggests that visitors can try hunting for truffles in San Miniato or try eating them in one of the "fantastic" local restaurants.
Additionally, the nature reserve in Monfalcone, near Castelfranco di Sotto, is a "wonderful" attraction for people interested in observing wild animals, Jet2.com states.
The region's shopping facilities are also likely to impress visitors, with an array of locally produced goods on offer.
As the company explains: "The area is famous for its leather goods, so why not visit the heart of this industry in Santa Croce sull'Arno?"
Earlier this week, rival budget airline easyJet announced the launch of a new service between London Gatwick and Pisa - an area the firm describes as a "starting point for exploring the regions of Tuscany and Florence".
