Airline highlights the attractions of Nantes and the Loire Valley
Aer Arann, a regional budget airline based in Ireland, has highlighted the many attractions of Nantes and the Loire Valley after launching flights to the city from Bristol last week.
Operating twice a week, one-way tickets cost £49 including tax and the airline is targeting both business and leisure travellers looking for trips to the capital of western France.
According to Easier, Gloucester and England rugby international Olly Morgan helped to launch the new route - of particular significance as he is likely to be playing in Nantes in September for the Rugby World Cup.
Colin Lewis, head of sales and marketing at Aer Arann, described the new flights as an ideal opportunity to enjoy the "delights" of the Loire Valley or stock up on French wine.
Bristol International Airport's aviation development director, Tony Hallwood, explained: "[Nantes] is a centre for the aeronautical and food industries, both of which are also strong in the South West, while it is a perfect base for leisure travellers looking to explore the Loire Valley or the Atlantic Coast."
England will play Samoa in Nantes on September 22nd 2007, while Wales faces orld Cup two matches in the city against Canada and Fiji.
