Air venture coming to Bulgaria
A new venture is to be carried out between the German company Lufthansa Technique and Hemus Air, according to reports.
Under the new agreement, the firms look set to repair planes in a total investment worth about 20 million euros, reports novinite.com.
Documents pertaining to the contract will be signed on August 16th and 80% of the drive will be owned by the German organisation, the regional manager for the firm in Bulgaria, Dieter Grosse, said.
At first, just Boeing 737s will be mended, but expansion to repairing other aircraft such as Boeing 777s and the Airbus A340 could also be on the way, according to chief executive at Hemus Air, Dimitar Pavlov.
Sofia Airport looks set to carry out the first phase of repairs near the end of next year, novinite added.
In related news, KBC, the financial company, has said that it is looking to invest heavily on the Bulgarian market.
