Aer Lingus extends European routes
Irish airline Aer Lingus has announced that it is increasing the number of planes on popular routes.
The carrier will offer extra flights from Dublin to destinations including Rome and Naples, highlighting the continued popularity of Italy among business and leisure travellers.
In addition, destinations in Spain such as Malaga and Barcelona will benefit from additional services, as will Lanzarote.
Commenting on the changes to the timetable, Aer Lingus' chief executive Dermot Mannion stated that it showed the firm's commitment to extending its range of services.
He said: "It reaffirms Aer Lingus' commitment to providing direct, low fares access for Irish customers to new destinations.
The introduction of new flights to established European markets will be welcomed by overseas property investors in these countries.
This week, MyHoliday.com stated that self-catering holidays had significantly grown in popularity during the last five years, leading to lots of demand for temporary accommodation in countries such as Spain and Italy.
