Abu Dhabi is a 'hotspot for tourists'

Abu Dhabi has been flagged up as a fast-growing region which is attracting more and more foreign leisure travellers.

Peter Norman, an official at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, said the emirate has become a very popular destination for holidaymakers.

Indeed, he described it as one of the world's tourism hotspots and a region which has shown a commitment to culture, sport and environmental sustainability.

The comments were echoed by Peter Fulton, managing director of the firm's south-west Asia division.

He remarked: "Abu Dhabi is one of the world's fastest growing cities with many new developments on its way."

This, he stated, would help make it a leading cultural, business and leisure destination.

Abu Dhabi was recently tipped to attract greater international interest by overseas property analyst Shelter Offshore.

According to the organisation, the recent takeover of Manchester City Football Club by an Abu Dhabi-based company has put the region firmly in the media spotlight.
