2 in 3 Britons 'thinking of moving abroad'

Almost two-thirds of the British population are considering relocating to another country, a new survey has found.

Research by food manufacturer Bertolli found that many were attracted by the idea of living in a warm and sunny environment, especially since the days were getting shorter and darker in the UK.

The study also showed that people were also tempted by the prospect of enjoying a more healthy and relaxed lifestyle.

Italy was rated as the most popular destination among respondents, since it fulfilled all of these requirements with its famously healthy diet

This comes after the Typically Spanish website cited research by the Academy of Healthy Ageing which showed that people in Italy have the highest life expectancy in Europe.

Their diet and quality of their diet were named as two of the main factors behind men reaching an average age of 70 and a typical woman living to 75.3.
