150 million euros 'invested in Romania'
The venture capital firm 3TS Capital Partners has announced that it is to invest 150 million euros (£100 million) into Romania.
It also manages the funds of the regional investment giant 3i and is the one of the biggest of its kind in Eastern Europe, reports zf.ro.
An official at the firm stated that the investments were designed with the intention of helping other businesses.
Managing director of 3TS Capital Partners Daniel Lynch said that this was the intention.
"We are looking for companies requiring 5 to 15 million euros to boost their business," he said to the paper.
He added that the firm is interested in companies with an annual growth rate of 20%.
The company said that the most attractive fields for investment include the financial services sector and the technology sector.
In related news, the car firm Ford recently announced that it is to make inroads into the Romanian market.
